TRANSIT: Transnationality at Large:

The Transnational Dimension of Hispanic Culture in the 20th and 21st Centuries

TRANSIT is an international mobility project which aims to foster academic exchange between eight research centres all specialising in the study of Hispanic and Latin American culture, with a particular accent on its transnational dimension. Of particular focus is the manner in which Hispanic cultural identities are (re-)shaped under the pressure of transnationalisation. The project is divided into four research areas (designated for administrative purposes as ‘Work Packages’) and will run from 1st January 2013 to 31st December 2016, its final objective being twofold: to foreground the case of the Hispanic world amongst those scholars dealing with transnationality; to enhance the attention given to the cultural dimension of transnationality within the field as a whole.
